One-of-a-Kind Test Stand Services: Custom Hydrostatic Testing with Unmatched Capabilities

Why Industry Leaders Trust OGETS for Test Stand Services

Based in Washington, PA, OGETS (Oil & Gas Equipment Testing Services) offers custom hydrostatic testing services that go far beyond industry standards because we are not just another testing company. We are one of the only companies in the nation with a custom-built test machine capable of the unique combination of spinning, reciprocating, and pressurizing equipment at high thresholds. Multiple manufacturers turn to us at OGETS for equipment testing, it speaks volumes about the integrity, transparency, and trustworthiness at the heart of our business.

Our proprietary Test Stand was custom-engineered exclusively for OGETS, making it the only one of its kind. While similar systems may exist, none can match its full range of dynamic, static, and cyclic testing capabilities.

Advanced Equipment Testing Backed by Experience

OGETS provides superior, non-destructive testing (NDT) for the Oil and Gas, Construction, Water Well, and Mining industries. We specialize in custom hydrostatic pressure testing for the Marcellus and Utica shale basins, helping customers ensure the safety, integrity, and reliability of their pressure-containing equipment before installation.

Established in 2017 at the request of Washington Rotating Control Heads, we began providing testing and validation services for larger-diameter rotary seals used in the oil and gas drilling industry. Our team offers deep industry knowledge of pressure vessels and a strong commitment to ethical, safe testing practices.

What Is Hydrostatic Testing?

Hydrostatic testing is the most common practice used to qualify pressure-containing equipment. During a hydrostatic test, a specified internal water pressure is applied to the equipment in a closed-loop system. The internal pressure generates enough force to cause the equipment to expand. Volumetric expansion measurements and internal and external visual inspections are then used to determine if the pressure-containing equipment is safe for use or needs to be decommissioned and/or repaired.

At OGETS, we ensure the integrity of equipment prior to installation, potentially saving thousands of dollars and hours of downtime through thorough testing before the equipment enters the field. Adding a new level of pre-installation security for large operations. With full data logging and the capability of testing at multiple speeds and pressures, we offer the largest range of testing configurations for custom testing needs.

Why is Hydrostatic Testing Important?

In the field, when your equipment fails after installation, the results can be catastrophic. Our hydrostatic testing service allows you to:

  • Identify flaws before deployment
  • Reduce emergency downtime
  • Prevent premature equipment failure
  • Validate manufacturer claims
  • Stay compliant with ASME and industry standards

By simulating real-world operational stresses, we offer your team the confidence to move forward with critical equipment installations, knowing they’ve been rigorously tested and verified.

Common Applications for Our Test Stand Services

  • Oil and Gas Systems
  • ASME-Coded Pressure Vessels: Air and Gas Storage Tanks, Scuba and Diving Tanks, Hydraulic Accumulators
  • Heat Exchangers
  • And MORE!

We are constantly expanding our services, so contact us with your needs for customized testing programs.

The OGETS Advantage: No Local Competitor Matches Our Capability

Several companies offer limited hydrostatic testing. However, no one can offer testing services with the capabilities that OGETS has. When precision, reliability, and custom configurations matter, OGETS is the partner of choice.

Custom Test Machine Capabilities:

  • Hydrostatic pressure leak, burst, and proof testing
  • Maximum Static Pressure up to 7,500 psi
  • Cyclic Pressure Testing between 0–7,500 psi
  • Dynamic Rotational Pressure Testing 0–200 RPM @ 0–7,500 psi
  • 5 Foot Linear Mandrel Stroke Testing @1000 psi and up to 1FPS (76,000 LBS Max Force)
  • Full data logging, programmable test sequences

Whether you’re testing for leaks, bursts, or fatigue over time, we can simulate extreme operating conditions, including a combination of pressurizing while rotating, or pressurizing while reciprocating simultaneously.
